Give your face a refreshed, plumped
and younger look

Fillers are a naturally occurring gel used to smooth out lines and wrinkles and replenish firmness and volume lost. They give you a refreshed plumped appearance, giving your face a younger look.

Dermal fillers are used in a bespoke way to sculpt and design each individual’s features, which means there is no mathematical correct volume for everyone. We look at the face holistically and determine what volume may be correct for you. A keen eye to detail is critical to ensure you have the correct result for you. Facial proportions, symmetry, shape and volume are taken into consideration and using dermal fillers in design.

Dermal fillers are injected into the skin and are designed to reduce the appearance of annoying wrinkles. They contour and give volume to revitalise your skin. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that naturally exists in your body. It is a sugar molecule and binds water acting as a lubricant and shock absorber in parts of your body such as joints. It also transports nutrients and regulates water balance in the skin.

Depending on the area of the treatment, we will either deposit the filler using a needle or a cannula. If you choose to, we will use a numbing agent to ease the slight discomfort you may feel on entry. The practitioner will safely inject the correct depth to create your desired result. You will then receive a gentle, relaxing massage to sculpt, shape and remove lumps.

Due to the fact hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the body, there is little chance of an allergic reaction occurring after treatment. Every 1ml of hyaluronic acid can absorb up to 1000ml of water, resulting in hydration in areas of your body. The hyaluronic acid works from the inside, filling wrinkles and lines. Your skin will look younger. The acid stimulates the growth of new collagen.

So long as you only have the hyaluronic acid administered by a healthcare professional, one who knows the human anatomy thoroughly, the procedure will be safe. The acid dissolves in water, and over time will be removed from the body.

Although a safe procedure, there are certain activities you should avoid afterwards.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
  • Do not expose the treated area to intense heat. For example, a sauna.
  • Try to sleep on your back for a few nights, avoiding pressure.
  • Avoid drinking any alcohol for at least 24 hours.
  • Do not use oil-based make-up, retinols/Vitamin C therapy for 24 hours.
  • Avoid facials, waxing or peels for at least two weeks after treatment.
